Unity in Christ

Wilson2

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.
When my sister-in-Law – Lau Mee Ting approached me asking me whether I want to attend BEM Revival meeting at Ba’kelalan, Mt Murud this year, immediately I said “Yes” and gladly joined the TMC group. The reason I wanted to visit the “spiritual root” is because my Kelabit ex-colleague is the person who brought me to Sunday service at SIB (BEM) church in Bintulu back in 1980. Through joining their church bible study sessions, prayer meetings and evangelical meetings, I get to know more and more about God and His salvation and His love through His Son Jesus Christ. Thanks God, that led to my reborn of my spiritual life as I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior in 1981 on Christmas Eve. Thanks God, for His love, mercy and grace that transformed my life and make my life meaningful and fruitful.

Two beautiful bible verses I would like to share (as below), Psalms 133 and Galatian 3:28. Especially throughout this Mt Murud trip, I feel and see these two passages come to pass in our group and all the worshippers who attend this revival meeting at Mt Murud.

Like what Sister Julie’s shared – although we are from different congregations, different culture, different background etc., our Faith in Christ brings us together for this trip. Together we preserve and encouraging one another when we climb the muddy mountain. Thanks God, all of us were sound and safe reaching our destination – the church camp ground at Mt Murud. God also protected all of us on our return journey as well. Moreover, our group came together to share food, having meals, worship, praying and sharing and living in unity as a small community of God’s people as what is stated in Psalm 133.

I was also amazed and touched to see the Revival attendees, together we worshipping our God in Spirit and in Truth. All these worshippers are from different denomination, different races, different education, different social background. It is a unity of the great and small, high and low, Malaysians from overall the country -north and south, east and west and people from Brunie and some from western country – God’s love brought us together up in the Mt. Murud and we worship in unity. I felt that we are One in Christ as we worship together and it was so beautiful. And the Unity that cross all human boundaries and divisions appear when we worship God together.

Psalms 133 reminded me that -Living together in unity is a gift of God and the source of living together and blessing comes from above i.e., from God. Oil in the bible symbolize the Holy Spirit. It is precious, it is refreshing and it is a gift from God and God is a generous giver. Thank God, that is what we have experience throughout the trip. Thanks God and thanks all my dear brothers and sisters for this wonderful experience.

Lastly the messages shared by the local speakers at Mt, Murud were very encouraging and reminded me repeatedly to be faithful, watchful, prayerful in building up my faith and deeply rooted in God’s word as we all know the second coming of Christ and end time is very near (Rev.6:12-17, Luke 21:25-36)

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus

Psalm 133
